What is a Template?
A template is a master image of a virtual machine. It can include an installed guest operating system and a set of applications. Templates are used to create new VMs that are consistent with the master image.

Creating a Template
You can create a template by cloning a virtual machine to a template, or by converting a virtual machine to a template.
Deploying from Template
When you deploy a VM from a template, you can customize the guest operating system to prevent conflicts (e.g., duplicate computer names, IP addresses).
